GRTCrack-OpenCL crash on ati win7

Postby MiO » Sun Nov 17, 2013 3:10 pm

Hi,

I have problems to run GRTCrack-OpenCL on my HD6990. Version 1.2 as well as the SVN head crashes almost instantly after start.

The test table is SHA1-len8-idx949-chr95-cl50000-v2-perfect.grt.
The full command line is GRTCrack-OpenCL.exe -s f5d13f33b7c11ea3fd3d67327f0c57f560ab654f -h SHA1 sha1\*.

The crash is a NULL pointer exception in the boost worker thread at:
> amdocl64.dll!000007fed5111b41()

Unfortunately this information is not gong to help me much.

Do you have any ideas what my cause this? I find it quite strange that this occurs with the quite old 1.2 release an HEAD equally. Since this looks like a ati driver bug to me, are there any known to be stable driver versions?

Never mind. After an update to driver version 13.9 the crash is gone.
