Help generating NTLM tables & index

Postby d3adg0d » Fri Oct 08, 2010 4:07 pm

I am trying to generate NTLM tables length 7 & 8 all characters. I am not certain of the values I should use with the switchs --numchains, --chainlength or how many tables I should create so that it will have a high percentage count 99.9%. I would also like to optimize it for my system currently running a GTX 480, SSD's in raid 0, and 12GB of ram.

The time buffered disk read speeds are 391.69 MB/sec, and average table search speed of 4433 hashes/s
Regen speeds - Step rate: 1150.13 M/s

Also with 12GB of ram, how many --bits should I use for the table indexing?

... play with a rainbow table calculator?

Some other people have had issues with excessive merges on large tables, and I'm looking into it, but I think there may be some fundamental limitations of rainbow tables that large tables may be running into.
