Problem with GRTCrack & HD7970

Postby xXEagleEyeXx » Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:25 pm

Hi Bitweasil,

I created a short Tableset for testing it out and to create a larger one later..

Config of Table:

num of tables: 4
charset: mixalpha-numeric-all
Password length: 6
chainlength: 50000
chaincount: 174497486
Hashalgo: MD5

Splitting Table generation to 6 Tables for every Table:

So for Table 1:
6* idx-0- numchains: 29083000 chainlength: 50000

So for Table 2:
6* idx-32- numchains: 29083000 chainlength: 50000

So for Table 3:
6* idx-64- numchains: 29083000 chainlength: 50000

So for Table 4:
6* idx-128- numchains: 29083000 chainlength: 50000

After generation I merged every table to a perfect one....

Now when I try to use them with GRTCrack-OpenCL.exe I get following error:

http://www.pic-upload.de/view-13825447/Unbenannt.png.html

My System:

2*HD7970
Windows 7 64bit

Also it seems that there is no code optimization for the HD7970 because I get the same speed on my other system with 69' ones...

Thanks in advance

I don't have a 7xxx series card to test with yet, so I don't actually know how it works on them.

Clearly not well...

I'm planning to order one soon so I can update code to work with them.
