So I have a 10 char NTLM to crack, but i know the last two chars, so shouldn't it take the same time as an 8 char NTLM? here is my charlist:

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
*
1

yes, the 9th char is a *, im not trying to put a wildcard there.

EDIT: oops, need to use -u not -c

:) Bingo.

I plan to add better checks for oddities like that in the future (having what looks like a per-position charset file but specifying a single charset). Also hex charsets.
