Search Rate

Postby jen140 » Sun Jul 17, 2011 1:51 pm

Hello.
I was just testing the software on Cuda Quadro 4000 and got the next results:
MD5:94335402C563F1607ADF18C7FEB4FF16:julkad:0x6a756c6b6164
Done: 2.52% Step rate: 56.5M/s Search rate: 1703734.4M/sec
Using
./CUDA-Multiforcer -h MD5 -c charsets/charset-upper-lower-numeric-symbol-95.chr -o found.txt -f input.txt --min 4 --max 10
i think the counting is not that well.
PS: Using CUDA-Multiforcer-Linux-0.72(64 bit version).
Edit: hash count -> 30 000.

1. The Quadro 4000 isn't that fast of a card. 256 stream processors, fairly low clocks.

2. Use 0.80, it's better and has much better default thread/block counts. The download is in the forum here for Linux.

3. Use the "-l" switch (lowercase L) to improve search rate on 30k hashes.

It's reporting accurately... it's just running slow.
