Crack MD5(MD5(pass$))

Postby tehtroll » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:08 am

Is there a way to use cryptohaze to crack double MD5 hashes i.e MD5(MD5(pass$)) ?

Thanks!

Not right now, but if you can provide details on the algorithm and some sample passwords/hashes, I can probably add it. Donations always help... ;-)

Does the outer MD5 act on the ASCII MD5 output from the inner function (32 bytes), or the raw output (16 bytes)? And if ASCII, upper or lower alpha characters?

plaintext example: test
md5: 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

now if you were to encrypt the md5 hash again with md5, you get this.

md5(md5(pass$))

fb469d7ef430b0baf0cab6c436e70375

Does that help? I believe there is a thread of hashes that have been encrypted thusly over here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=90

I've added md5(md5($pass)) into my local SVN & will be releasing soon :)

I also have triple-MD5 and some other stuff.

Also, these algorithms will work over the network if you have multiple systems. :)

1.1 RC has support for this, 1.1 will have support on an official release this weekend.
