I still stand by my statement that torrents are a godawful way to distribute large tables, but it does involve less money changing hands than shipping hard drives.

Good luck. :)

Swapped out a broken switch on my network on friday, it was a huge bottleneck for seeding these tables, I've also raised the upload rate significantly and removed it entirely overnight (GMT)

Glad to know it was at your end.

I know :(

NTLM len7 is 100%
NTLM len8 table 1 is 85% :)
NTLM len8 table 2 is 45%
NTLM len8 table 3 is 39% and worryingly all the seeds have dropped
NTLM len8 table 4 is 40%

Just FYI I need to transport the disk these tables are on when they're done, so it will be offline for a day or so, I'm not hit and running the torrents, I will continue to seed.

That's fine. One of my seedboxes is temporarily offline, will be back soon-ish.

Seedbox for the torrent files:

NTLM-len8-idx6000000-cl200000-v2-perfect.grt
NTLM-len8-idx6000000-cl200000-v2-perfect.grt.idx

Is down right now, there's 4 peers stuck at 99.1% finished, if you can get the seed back online for a short period I can finish and keep seeding until everyone is done...

Then just 16% left on one of the torrents and I'll be all done  :D

Should be pushing data now.

I've got a few more to add up.

Torrents are a terrible option for this. :( It's just the least-bad of all options. :(

Looks like everything has at least one seed right now.

Pinged the seedbox owner, he's aware & will work to fix.

Nice, it's working now, at 99.7% and so are 3 other peers, the moment it finishes (in about an hour) that torrent should have at least 4 seeds :)

I think torrents are fine, they always take a while to seed because initial seeding is capped at the upload of the first seed, if a few of us stick around and contribute once we have all the files then it should massively speed up for everyone else.

I'm seeding 2 of the other large NTLM len8 tables now but none of the peers seem to want to download from me, despite having a lot of upload bandwidth, strange that...

3 of the 4 NTLM Len8 torrents are done and seeding like crazy, the 4th (IDX300k) has been stuck at 86% for a few days, the 2 listed seeds don't seem to connect very often and when they do nothing transfers, not sure what's up. The rest of the peers don't have any pieces that I need :(

In fact that same torrent isn't uploading either...
